National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage rates increase from 1 April 2022
Employers should be aware that all minimum wage rates increase on 1 April of each year. This includes all National Minimum Wage rates and the National Living Wage rate. The new minimum wage rates apply to eligible workers in Northern Ireland from 1 April 2022.
See below the new rates for 2022:
National Living Wage (23 years old and over) - £9.50
National Minimum Wage (21 to 22 years old) - £9.18
National Minimum Wage (18 to 20 years old) - £6.83
National Minimum Wage (16 - 17 years old) - £4.81
National Minimum Wage (apprentice rate) - £4.81

Make sure you are aware of the new minimum wage rates.
Check who is eligible for which rate in your organisation.
Apply the rate through your payroll at the right time.
